Great mechanics and customer service. Very diligent and detailed record keeping. Replaced struts, shocks, and tires. Ride is much smoother. They also replaced my oil and performed a smog check before. No reason to go anywhere else. Highly recommended!

What a relief to finally find a mechanic's shop that I can actually trust. We single women know that we can be "taken for a ride" by mechanics and be overcharged, or told that we need some made- up services. You will never get that at A & E. Dannon Story is the owner. She and her husband ran it together for years. Dannon has a great team working for her. I know Dannon for 20 years, and I can say she is the real deal. I brought my vehicle in last year and had MAJOR work done on it. Car is running great! You can depend and rely on A & E Automotive.

Had my daughter's 2004 Honda pilot towed here after it wouldn't start. Paid $222 for a diagnostic. Was told they were 95% sure it was the fuel pump and it would cost $1000 to replace. I told them this was something I could do myself. I had my daughter go to A&E to have it towed to her house (I live in Huntington Beach). When she got to A&E the mechanic said "Are you sure about this, your dad is going to be under the car all day working on this!". I ordered a new aftermarket pump online (Honda doesn't stock the part any longer) cost $75. I drove to Goleta to replace the pump. IT TOOK 1 HOUR! The pump is accessed from under the back seat not underneath the car. Went to start the car and same thing, engine turns but doesn't start. I then checked the pump relay, it was the problem, not the fuel pump. This should have been the first thing they checked! Went to O'Reillys and bought a new one for $80. Took 2 minutes to replace, car started right up! They wanted to charge me $900 labor for a job that takes one hour and wasn't even the problem. Think twice before going here!

A&E Is so thorough. They did a complimentary check to see if there were any issues of my car that I might not be aware of and walked me through what’s most important to fix. They were willing to work with my warranty company, saving me hundreds of dollars. Dannon is so kind and explained everything to me and supported me through all the repairs. Great shop!

We've been having our vehicles serviced at at A&E for a few years now. Their prices are competitive, mechanics knowledgeable and courteous. The owner Dannon is a hard working Goleta local business owner that is eager to help. Led by Master Technician Edgar and his A-Team, there's no job too big! Their work is Thorough and Honest! They also offer a couple of choices with financing that not many local, non-franchised shops offer. Thanks for being there for me and my family A&E!!
